THE PRACTICE OF PRESENCE: AWAKENING THE WITNESS SELFTO DREAMS AND IMAGINATION
DEAR FRIENDS OF CIL;
After a hiatus last year in our annual winter retreat, I am happy to let you know, with much excitement, about our 6th annual retreat.
Through daily dream and imagery work, through meditation, through listening to our deep body selves and through an understanding of current research in neuroscience and the workings of our brains, we will each befriend our witness self, that part of us in which we can abide through all aspects of our journey on this earth.
The healing images we receive as we listen deep into our bodies have an extraordinary impact on the energetic healing of trauma. For this kind of healing, we need skills with which to practice being compassionately present for ourselves and one another at the level of body and spirit. Practice of these skills will be a significant focus of our being together.
It is my heartfelt desire that in this intentional and tender time of going deep together, we can contribute to the much needed resonant field of healing for our world, as well as gain skills for our own process of transformation and for those we work with.
The group will be kept small so that we can have intimate connection. So, if you are interested, this is the time to let me know!
As for place: The retreat will be held at a lovely inn in the artist community of Todos Santos, Baja California. This is a very special part of the world with beautiful beaches and serenity. There are still a few spaces open, so let me know asap if you are ready to commit. We will be there at high season, so arrangements must be made now.
As for cost: The fee for the retreat is $1000 plus a reasonable amount for group lunches. Breakfast included
We would have our first gathering on Wednesday morning, January 24 and close after lunch on Monday, January 29
